worst parent i've ever seen

This is the most disturbing video i have ever seen.

This is the worst parenting i have ever heard of in my life. what a POOR POOR kid. my heart BREAKS for him. i want to call social services!

we're figuring out our parenting philosophy with Keira and we don't have it all figured out but we will be the EXACT OPPOSITE of this parent!

i will be just the opposite of this horrible dad. Keira will LOVE the Yankees. she will HATE the Red Sox. Because the Red Sox is a horrible organization. they suck. they don't deserve to exist on earth. & because that's what Jesus would do. there is no other option.

we will make sure we parent better than that guy.

4th generation die hard Yankees fan almost here

all seems right with the world when the Yankees are in the playoffs. it's the beauty of October.

and it's possible - just a slight possibility - that my 1st child will be born while the Yankees are in the World Series. and i think that would be awesome.

Because this 1st child of mine is coming into the world, day 1, as a 4th generation, die hard Yankees fan.

his dad (me) came into the world as a 3rd generation die hard Yankees fan. i had no choice but to love the Yankees. it's in my blood.

my dad was a Yankees fan as a kid before me and his dad was a big Yankees fan before him.

Staying at my grandfather's house 1 time i found all my dad's old notebooks in the basement - tons of notebooks filled with all the box scores from whole seasons of Yankees games my dad would listen to on the radio. that's dedication. it was all Mantle, Maris, and those names in the notebooks.
pretty cool for a 9 year old avid Yankees fan like myself to stumble onto.

i grew up watching all the Yankees games with my dad. like a tradition. we went to Yankees stadium together. something we'll never forget.

in my mind and heart loving the Yankees is just something you do as a father & son. that's the way it makes sense in my brain.

so whether i have a son or daughter... i can't wait to start making memories and traditions around the Yankees. HOPEFULLY we may even get to start this year in the World Series when they are 1 day old.

(but also hopefully it won't be being born right during a World Series Yankees game... that would be tough.)

Yankees season has begun!

That's right - Yankees season, not baseball season. Because the Yankees are the only team that matter. They are the only team that has mattered in my world for the past 27 years since I was born with a Yankees "onesie" and hat on!
I think I have written many times about my die hard obsession with the New York Yankees and how that die hard obsession has been in my blood for over 3 generations!

I have watched every single Yankees game so far this season. And I plan on being able to watch the 1st 9 games of the season at least through the Angels series next week! Pretty awesome. I wonder if I can keep this up and watch every single game all season long? (doubtful)

So, after Sunday's game I will have seen all 5 of our starters pitch. (C.C. is pitching again today.) Phil Hughes gets his 1st start today as our 5th man in the rotation. he's the crazy young phenom who's supposed to be the next great pitcher in the Major Leagues.
I'm guessing he will be the 4th starter soon and Javier Vasquez will drop to be the 5th starter... which is crazy because he was the ACE (1st starter) for the Braves! But we all know the Braves suck.

I am really excited about the Yankees this season. We are the defending World Series Champs and I really hope we can REPEAT again! Joe Girardi is wearing #28 this season, so hopefully he can bring us our 28th world series championship!
I am not about to predict that we'll win it (like I did HERE and was wrong), but I am very hopeful.

**I think it's so awesome that Derek Jeter (my favorite player), Jorge Posada (my wife's favorite player), and Mariano Rivera (our fav pitcher) have all been playing together with the Yankees for 16 years! That is crazy! 16 years! that is the longest streak of any 3 teammates in ANY American sport!!! (NBA, NHL, or NFL!)
They have won 5 world series rings together (so has Andy Pettite) and I watched every second of every one of those world series. I hope this world series is #6 for those guys and in my lifetime!
