Wikipedia - the source of all things true, historical, and reliable - was unavailable yesterday.
They were offline for 24 hours - January 18th.
according to "Wikipedia" itself it shut down for this reason: "Opposing SOPA and PIPA,
two controversial Intellectual Property Laws in the Unized States, the
BlackDown attempts to demonstrate what government instrumentalized
control of the Internet can cause - a controlled shutdown of websites
delivering content a current government may not be pleased with."
Thankfully at midnight last night it came back.
how else would i write these scholarly, technical research papers without wikipedia? just kidding, Dr. Bowers :)
