Here are strategies 6-10:
And of course this works way better than any other method according to all the statistics. Like 99% of people who come to a church do so because of a personal invite!
**1 idea Tony mentioned was that because we don't ever use promotion, when we DO promote something big, people would actually listen! Because we haven't been loud and now we are all of the sudden!
Also, at Tony's church, each ministry team writes down WHO they are inviting and then the whole team prays for those people by name. I think that's pretty cool too.
***This was eye opening too = Tony said that peeps in our churches probably assume that people show up because of our marketing! *We must constantly remind them that peeps only come when THEY INVITE them.
7 Act Twice Your Size. If you try to operate twice your size today you'll establish right systems and make decisions that will help get to the growth you want. Go talk to churches twice your size and see what they did to break through.
We did this at Ridge from the beginning. Except we probably acted 4 times our size. I don't know if this was the best thing or not?
8 Keep it Simple. We say "Narrow the Focus". Constantly take stuff away instead of add stuff. All organizations tend toward complexity. We need to fight that at Ridge! We will always have to.
9 Empower Leaders (Volunteers). I feel like we are nailing this pretty well. We can always do better of course, but we have empowered an unbelievable team of Volunteer Leaders. We have so many of them serving in staff roles and high capacity leadership roles that it's just crazy!
10 Track the Numbers. all the numbers = number of life change stories, peeps connecting in community (groups), peeps serving, peeps in our Foyer environment, etc...
