"New Year"

We're starting our 4th week into this brand new year. This brand new year full of potential and optimism.
This is a new day too. Monday morning. Kicking off the day in style with a blog post about how I want to live this new day and this new year.
This is how I want to live each day and this new year in 2010...

"This is a new year, this is a new day to rise,

Shine, lift up your eyes

This is a new year, this is a new day to rise,

Shine, and point the way to God's great life." 

that's what i wanna do in 2010! Summed up beautifully in these lyrics from Charlie Hall. (I reviewed the CD when it came out HERE.)

I love that last line of the chorus = i simply want to "shine and point the way to God's great life."
If i can do that this year that will be success.

Shine, not with my radiance and glory, but reflecting (like the moon reflects the sun) the glory of the only One with unending fame. And in this reflection of my life, hopefully point people to the only life that matters... living for the renown of God's great life... the great life that He lives and the great life that He gives.

That's how i want to spend this new year and this new day = shining for renown.
